Community Services

He has showed you, O man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. - Micah 6:8

Community Services – Crossing Into 2015

At Community Services, we aim to reach out to the needs of the community in the neighbouring estates by providing the services and programs that will help to support and improve their quality of life.

Our comprehensive services and programs comes in forms of practical support in the day-to-day life which serves to meet almost every level of the community from the young, to the elderly and even to the ex-offenders.

By demonstrating Christ’s love for the people through these acts of kindness, we are committed to be an advocate and a bridge for the community to cross over from brokenness to wholeness. Some of our services includes:

Eldercare Ministry reaches out to the disadvantaged and needy elderly with limited family means or without any means of support and living on their own.

We have initiated programs to help them with proper basic care, transportation, meals, welfare assistance support and companionship to give them support, love and improve their quality of life.

Our partners includes, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), Love Singapore Eldercare Network and the community.

We provide the following services:

  • Home Help is a practical support to meet the basic needs of daily living of the elderly as and when the need requires it such as house cleaning, basic home repairs, marketing and more.
  • Transportation Ministry is a service to provide the elderly who is physically weak or those without any family support to be escorted and/or accompanied with for medical check-up and hospital appointments.
  • One Meal a Day is a gesture to bless the community with one healthy cooked and packed meal delivered to their door from Mondays to Fridays.
  • Welfare Assistance is to provide and equip the elderly with proper information and the necessary assistance to available government benefits and aids whether financially or in kind which can further improve their quality of life.
  • Befriender Ministry is to provide love and support to the homebound elderly through regular home visitations.

Journey into Wholeness (JIW) is a ministry that reaches out to a group of people in our society who have sadly been put aside, marginalised, despised, ostracised and even forgotten. They are prison inmates, releasees from prison and those in halfway houses.

Our objectives are to restore hope to the broken through our In-Prison Ministry and walking alongside those who are going through personal journeys towards reconciliation with their families through committed Pastoral Care and Support Groups.

Every person’s journey with us begins with an assessment of their needs through appropriate solutions. Our solutions comes in forms of halfway house stays, employment, to inner healing and deliverance sessions. After an assessment is made, they will then join the New Life Support Group that intentionally prepares them for integration into church life and into the society.

Join us in fulfilling our vision of rebuilding broken lives, visit our New Life Group.

Harvest and Sow was conceived out of love for the poor and needy. It began with a few cell groups coming together to bless the poor and needy in the one and two-room rental flats in Bukit Merah and Queenstown district by giving away goodie bags.

This ministry serves as a platform for evangelism outreach to the community and to-date, more than 1,004 people have received Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

We are looking for committed volunteers to help us:

  • Facilitate small group meetings
  • Lead praise and worship sessions
  • Visit residents at their homes
  • Transport the elderly to our church services
