Cross Training 2017

Cross Training 2017

Cross Training is a unique, inspirational and life-changing course. It is for a duration of 12 weeks (full-time). There will be lectures as well as attachment to ministries, a special retreat and group mentoring sessions. You will spend 3 months together with your fellow course mates – learning, sharing and discovering your calling and place in the church and in the world.

The Programme

Classroom lectures, special seminars, group mentoring and participation in some of the programmes at church. It will be a time to:

Learn more about God and the Bible.

What are the significant lessons from the early church? What is the place of the Law in the purposes of God? These are some areas that we will study. You will also get an overview of the Bible and learn tools for interpreting the Bible.

Deepen your relationship with Him

How do I know God’s will for my life? What does it mean to be a disciple? You will learn the importance of knowing your identity in Christ and how to walk closely with Him. To help you crystallize some of the things that you are learning, there will be weekly group mentoring sessions which will be led by staff and other mature church leaders.

Develop Ministry Skills

Learn more about moving in the gifts of the Spirit and the prophetic. Spend time in intercession for nations and people groups. Additionally, there will be opportunities to learn from some of the on-going ministries at COOS.

Here are some testimonies from past year participants!

“The uniqueness of Cross Training in its all-rounded ministries exposure has provided me with very balanced and helpful viewpoints towards identifying God’s calling for me. Being fully and intently engaged over this period, I realized that God reveals Himself to me in all circumstances – these I believe has sensitised me to recognize God’s voice and to grow deeper in the knowledge of Him. Through Cross Training, a strong stirring was birthed and caught on in the area of missions and evangelism. I take off with me a deep awakening, clarity, and conviction of God’s calling for me.” ~By Esther Wong (2016)

“The multi-focused 12 weeks course is broad based enough to allow trainees to learn, to hone their knowledge and skills, and also to experience the various aspects of Christian and church life and ministry. Each of these trainees will have many encounters with anointed servants and staff of the Lord and most importantly with God Himself. And surely, God has many gifts for those who are willing to sacrifice their time to attend this training.” ~By Wesley Goh (2016)

“Cross Training is like a training gym that builds self-discipline, strength, flexibility, effectiveness, and relationship in the community.” ~By Divina (2016, Filipino Church)
