Community Services
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6:8
At Community Services, we aim to meet the needs of the community in the neighbouring estates by providing support and services and that will bless and encourage them as they journey through life.
By demonstrating Christ’s love for people through these acts of kindness, we are committed to be God’s instruments to bring about lasting change in the community, one life at a time.
JOURNEY INTO WHOLENESS PRISON MINISTRY
Journey into Wholeness (JIW) is a ministry that reaches out to a group of people in our society who have often been despised, ostracised and forgotten. They are the prison inmates, releasees from prison and those in halfway houses.
Through our In-Prison Ministry for present inmates and New Life Support Group for ex-offenders, we seek to speak truth into brokenness, bring hope to the despairing and walk alongside those who are reintegrating into society, ultimately witnessing the transformation of surrendered lives.
Every person’s journey with us begins with an assessment of their needs, followed by appropriate measures such as counselling, inner healing and deliverance sessions, and suggestions of viable employment.
Join us in fulfilling God’s call to redeem and rebuild lives today!

ELDERCARE MINISTRY
Eldercare Ministry reaches out to the needy elderly with limited means of support, especially those living alone. We have initiated programmes to provide for them in practical ways, so as to improve their quality of life. Our partners include Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) and Love Singapore Eldercare Network.
Our services:
- Home Help Ministry aims to meet the basic needs of elderly residents, as and when the need arises. It includes house cleaning, home repairs and marketing.
- Transportation Ministry serves to help elderly residents who are less mobile attend their regular medical check-ups and hospital appointments.
- One Meal a Day Programme seeks to bless the community with packed meals delivered to the void deck of their HDB flats from Mondays to Fridays.
- Welfare Assistance Programme gives elderly residents the necessary information and help to tap on available government welfare schemes.
- Befriender Ministry endeavours to love and support homebound elderly residents through regular home visitations.
Please note that commitment is required for a minimum of 1 year. If you are keen to serve in any of these ministries, please fill up the form on the left or leave your name at the admin counter.
HARVEST AND SOW MINISTRY
Harvest and Sow was conceived out of love and compassion for the poor and needy. It began with a few cell groups coming together to bless those living in the one and two-room rental flats in the Bukit Merah and Queenstown district by distributing goodie bags containing basic household necessities.
This ministry serves as a platform for evangelism outreach to the community. By the grace of God, as of May 2017, more than 1,045 people have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
We are looking for committed volunteers who are interested in:
- Facilitating small group sessions
- Leading praise and worship
- Visiting residents at their homes
- Transporting elderly for Church Services
We invite you to be a part of this exciting business of Kingdom expansion!

ST ANDREW’S NURSING HOME (QUEENSTOWN)
St. Andrew’s Nursing Home is located at 11 Jalan Penjara, and consists of 292 beds for elderly who require stay-in care, as well as a Senior Care Centre that renders day care services. Home care services are also provided at recipients’ homes.
Pastoral care plays an integral role in holistic patient and personal care, especially for the well-being and better management of challenges that elderly face. Its role is to provide spiritual, emotional and practical support for the recipient within a trusting relationship. COOS is privileged to be appointed by Bishop Rennis Ponniah to be the anchor parish for St. Andrew’s Nursing Home (Queenstown). We serve the Nursing Home by providing such support to the elderly, their family members and the staff of the Nursing Home as they cope with issues such as illness, loss, grief or pain. With that, the Nursing Home aims to be a lighthouse, shining the light of Christ and bringing hope to the community around.
