Worship.
If you are gathering as a cell, you may use the following song list and lyrics if you do not have your own. We have also provided our led-worship videos for those who need it. Let us join our hearts to lift up the name of our King!

If you’re not following the worship link above, you may use the following songs for own/cell worship.

As The Deer
Verse 1
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship Thee

Chorus
You alone are my strength my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart’s desire
And I long to worship Thee

Verse 2
You’re my friend
and You are my brother
Even though You are a King
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything

Verse 3
I want You more than gold or silver
Only You can satisfy
You alone are the real joygiver
And the apple of my eye

How Great Is Our God
Verse 1
The splendour of the King
Clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice

He wraps Himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
And trembles at His voice

Chorus
How great is our God
Sing with me
How great is our God
And all will see how great
How great is our God

Verse 2
And age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the End
Beginning and the End

The Godhead three in one
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb

Bridge
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

Sermon
Bridging The Gap.

Scripture references
1 Peter 2:9 (NASB)
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession…

Exodus 28:11-12 (NASB)
You shall engrave the two stones according to the names of the sons of Israel…you shall put the two stones on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, as stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial.

Hebrews 10: 19-22 (NASB)
Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great high priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith….

1 Samuel 2:35 (NASB)
But I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and in My soul; and I will build him an enduring house, and he will walk before My anointed always.

1 Samuel 3:19-20 (NASB)
Samuel grew and the LORD was with him and let none of his words fail. All Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the LORD.

John 5:19 (NASB)
‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something he sees the Father doing’

John 11:41-42 (NASB)
‘Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. I knew that You always hear Me; but because of the people standing around I said it, so that they may believe that You sent Me’

Response

Some questions to ponder:
As we frantically follow the news of what’s happening every day, how do we as Christians turn the frenzy and negativity into prayer? How does God see this situation? How does God want us to pray?

Why don’t you take just 3-minutes right now to stand in the gap in prayer for those afflicted, and for our nation.

Announcements
Stay updated with what’s happening in COOS.

1.Home away from Home
We are thankful for this opportunity to share His amazing love with those in need.

2.Watch parties
Social distancing has not stopped us from being a family. Technology today allows us to easily bridge the gap by connecting with one another virtually. As you join in our online service, do share a screenshot of your watch parties and #coosfamily. We will be showcasing them on our social media!

3.Palm Sunday, Resurrection Weekend and Birthday Parties
With tighter limits imposed on mass gatherings, services will not resume on 4 & 5 April as originally planned. Suspension will be extended till the end of April, for now.
Therefore Holy Week will be celebrated online. Nonetheless, we look forward to celebrating Jesus with you and your cell groups on our online service portal. Enjoy the significance of this time spent in remembrance of His love for each and every one of us.
COOSKidz birthday party will also be cancelled.

4.COOS Business Network
In hard times like this, let us support our members who drive taxis/Grab cars. If you need transport please do call our own members at the numbers listed below. Let us uplift one another in difficult times and be God’s gift to each other.

Here are their contact numbers:
Comfort taxi
Raymond Chua 94555104
Andrew Thow 96178998

Premier taxi
Eric Yeo 97467654

5. Celebrating Holy Communion
We are celebrating Holy Communion online next weekend (4&5th April 2020). If you have been a Communicant in COOS and would like to join us in celebrating Communion, please call the church office during office hours (except Mondays) to collect pre-consecrated packed elements [wafer & wine] for partaking as one body. If you are not able to collect the pre-packed elements, using your own bread and wine will also suffice. If you are part of a Cell or Ministry, please make requests for the pre-packed elements through your Pastors or Ministry Leaders.

Finally, we encourage those who are not in a cell community to plug into our COOS family. These extraordinary times give us extraordinary opportunities to reach out virtually and connect with one another. Being isolated does not mean that you have to journey alone. For alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. So procrastinate no more and plug into a cell group today.
